Lawmen make 28 local arrests
Law enforcement officers made 28 arrests between Wednesday, Oct. 22 and Sunday, Oct. 26.
Wednesday, Oct. 22
Rolando Ybarra, 21, Port Lavaca, was arrested by Port Lavaca Police Department (PLPD) for consumption of alcohol by a minor and failure to appear.
Humberto Bob Deleon Jr., 48, Port Lavaca, was arrested by PLPD for no driver’s license twice, failure to appear twice, no driver’s license and no insurance.
Sandra Elena Chavez, 29, Port Lavaca, was arrested by PLPD for failure to maintain financial responsibility.
Jefferson Cody Kent, 30, Crosby, was arrested by PLPD for driving while license suspended/invalid.
Thursday, Oct. 23
Fortino Saenz, 44, Alice, was arrested by Calhoun County Sheriff Office (CCSO) for writ of commitment, child support.
Alfredo E. Esquivel, 53, Port Lavaca, was arrested by PLPD for disorderly conduct by loud music and failure to appear.
Friday, Oct. 24
John Michael Torres II, 18, Port Lavaca, was arrested by PLPD for driving under the influence/minor.
Jeremy Constancio, 21 Palacios, was arrested by CCSO for theft more than $20 and less than or equal to $1,500.
Joseph Melancon IV, 36, Port Lavaca was arrested by CCSO for failure to appear and criminal trespassing.
Roberta Rae Castillo, 49, San Antonio, arrested by CCSO for theft between $50 and $1,500.
Jeannette Mendez, 26, Port Lavaca, arrested by CCSO for violation of probation.
Adriana Ann Soto, 29, Port Lavaca, arrested by CCSO for violation of probation.
Shawn Edgar Dean, 19, Seadrift, arrested by Seadrift Police Department (SPD) for criminal mischief.
Arthur Leon Cady, 67, Port Lavaca, arrested by the Department of Public Safety (DPS) for driving while intoxicated, third or more.
David Morales, 40, Port Lavaca, arrested by PLPD for violation of probation.
Saturday, Oct. 25
Gabriel Ramirez, 33, Victoria, arrested by PLPD for possession of controlled substance.
Jose Francisco Cano Jr., 25, Port Lavaca, arrested by CCSO for speeding 70-87 mph and failure to appear in court.
Michael Jerome Abram, 38, Houston, arrested by CCSO for speeding 55-70 mph and failure to appear.
Roy Sherman Burnett, 33, Port O’Connor, arrested by CCSO for speeding and failure to appear.
Miguel Angel Ruiz, 21, Port Lavaca, arrested by PLPD for violation of probation.
Jarrett Wade Broome, 28, Seadrift, arrested by DPS for driving while intoxicated third or more.

Corey Dewayne Riser, 33, Port Lavaca, arrested by PLPD on a capias for non-å payment of child support.
James Ray Perez, 25, Port Lavaca, arrested by PLPD for family violence Class A.
Beverly Ann Jaycox, 24, Port Lavaca, arrested by PLPD for public intoxication.
Sheila Jaycox Zamora, 30, Port Lavaca, arrested by PLPD for public intoxication.
Librado Lee Saldivar, 44, Port Lavaca, arrested by DPS for driving while intoxicated third or more.
Dominic Ryan Pendergrass, 17, Port Lavaca, arrested by PLPD for minor in consumption of alcohol.
Frank Villarreal, 43, Seadrift, arrested by CCSO for public intoxication.
