Calhoun wins Bi-District title

Final update
Sterling Jones scored a touchdown with 10:35 left in the fourth quarter during Saturday night's play-off game against Floresville bringing the score to 42-10.
With 1:40 remaining in the game, Joe Bargus scored. The game ended with the final score Calhoun 49, Floresville 10.
This is the third consecutive year that the Sandcrabs have won a Bi-District championship title. Calhoun's next stop will be against Edcouch-Elsa in the area play-off game. See the midweek edition for tonight's game story and upcoming game time and location.

With 10:07 remaining in the third quarter, Xavier Archangel scored a touchdown to bring the score to Calhoun 35, Floresville 10.
The third quarter ends with the score the same.

Floresville scored a field goal with 4:14 left in the second quarter. The score at halftime is Calhoun 28, Floresville 10.
End of first quarter update
Calhoun leads Floresville at the end of first quarter of tonight's district play-off game.
The game is being held at Memorial Stadium inVictoria
Calhoun took an early lead with a touchdown by Daylynn Bubenik. Sterling Jones then racked up a few more points by scoring with 8:24 left in the first quarter. With 5:42 left in the first quarter, quarterback James Ezzell made a touchdown bringing the score to 21-0.
Floresville answered with a touchdown of their own after which Ezzell scored again.
End of the first quarter score is Calhoun 28, Floresville 7.

All of tonight's players did a great job...and the peek we got at next year's players really looked good! Congratulations on your Bi-district title...you have made us proud.
Now keep up that teamwork and focus on next weeks game against Edcouch Elsa. They are a good team...but they are beatable and THIS Sandcrab team is the one who can get it done.
