Robert Valadez
Robert Valadez, 57, Port Lavaca, died on Friday, Nov. 14, 2008.
He was born on Oct. 21, 1951 in Port Lavaca to Celestino “Tino” Valadez and Audelia Villarreal Valadez, both of Port Lavaca. He was an iron worker employed by a construction company. He was a member of the Catholid Church.
He is survived by his wife, Yolanda Chapa of Port Lavaca; two daughters, Faith Neri Valadez-Guerra of Pasadena and Selena Chapa of Port Lavaca; two sons, Jessie Ray Valadez of Pasadena and Troy Neri Valadez of Port Lavaca; five sisters, Sylvia Valadez of Beeville, Lucy Rubio Cano of Seadrift, Kelly Aguilar of Port Lavaca, Frances Rubio Rivera of Port Lavaca and Yolanda Garcia of Lubbock; five brothers, David Valadez of Port Lavaca, Celestino “Tino” Valadez Jr. of Port Lavaca, Rudy Valadez Sr. of Port Lavaca, Eulalio Rubio Jr. of Port Lavaca and Frank Guillen of Houston; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Rudy Valadez and Robert Valadez Jr.; a sister, Theresa Garcia; and a brother, Mike Guzman.
A funeral Mass was said at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church. Burial followed in the Port Lavaca Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jessie Ray Valadez, Trey Neri Valadez, Rudy Valadez Sr., Sean Trevino, Troy Martin Valadez and Celestino Valadez II. Honorary pallbearers were all his Road Dawgs.
Donations will be accepted by the family to help defray funeral expenses.
Artero Memorial Chapels of Port Lavaca, 361-552-2300, was in charge of arrangements.
