Law enforcement makes 17 weekend arrests

Local law enforcement officials made 17 arrests between Thursday, Oct. 15, and Sunday, Oct. 18.

Thursday, Oct. 15

Rolando Silvas, 27, Point Comfort, was arrested by Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) for violation of probation and driving while intoxicated.

Friday, Oct. 16


Dean Lee Rowland, 39, Port Lavaca, was arrested by CCSO for public intoxication.

Tyler Lafour, 26, Victoria, was arrested by CCSO for motion for enforcement.

Michael Medellin, 41, Port Lavaca, was arrested by CCSO for failure to maintain financial responsibility.

Fernando Reyes, 24, Port Lavaca, was arrested by CCSO for no valid driver’s license and failure to maintain financial responsibility.

Norma Cardenas, 28, Port Lavaca, was arrested by Port Lavaca Police Department (PLPD) for burglary of a habitation.

Saturday, Oct. 17


William Hugh Childress Jr., 40, Port Lavaca, was arrested by CCSO for public intoxication.

Johnny Baldera Jr., 41, Port Lavaca, was arrested by CCSO for public intoxication.

Bryan David Skelly, 37, Port Lavaca, was arrested by CCSO for public intoxication.

Derrick Winston Dolan, 28, Port Lavaca, was arrested by PLPD for theft by check.

Sunday, Oct. 18

Manuel “Cooney” Cuellar, 29, Port Lavaca, was arrested by PLPD for possession of marijuana, less than two ounces.

Tessa Marie (Resendez) Chavez, 29, Port Lavaca, was arrested by PLPD for speeding and failure to appear.

Paul Anthony Resendez Jr., 30, Port Lavaca, was arrested by PLPD for open container, failure to appear and failure to change address.

Jeannette Saenz Chavez, 43, Port Lavaca, was arrested by CCSO for dog at large and driving while license invalid.

Raymond Lee Lopez, 27, Port Lavaca, was arrested by PLPD for public intoxication.

Chester Lee Williams, 49, Port Lavaca, was arrested by PLPD for forgery of a financial institution, disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

Icidro Andres Soto, 20, Lefors, was arrested by PLPD for burglary of a habitation.
