Words only have significance when people understand what they mean and if they see any reference in the meaning to themselves.

Words can be like water on the back of a duck. Some people have no understanding of what is meant. However, in some cases, when certain people find out what the significance of a word means, unfortunately, it may be too late to take action.

Mary, the mother of Jesus said, “be it unto me according to your word” when the Angel Gabriel said, “Don’t be afraid Mary, for you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus.”

Mary asked the angel, “How can this happen? I am a virgin.”

The angel replied, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the most high will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy, and he will be called the son of God.”

Mary said, “be it unto me according to your word, which means “Amen.”

In other words she believe what the Angel said to her. Amen, is the last word in the Bible, which is of great significance and deep. The word tells us that the masses with in the Holy Scriptures of the old and New Testament irrespective of what you might think is final. Amen.

We must say Amen to what God says. We agree with him by saying Amen even if we do not understand it. Mary did not understand how she could conceive a baby and never be intimate with a man. This shows us that God’s word is final.

Let me take you back to Zachariah, John the Baptist father. Again God used the angel, Gabriel, to give a message to Zachariah, who was serving in the temple at the altar when he appeared to him. Zechariah and Elizabeth, his wife, were righteous in God’s eyes, careful to obey all of the Lord’s commandments and regulations. They had no children because Elizabeth was unable to conceive and they were both very old.

Gabriel, the angel, said, “Don’t be afraid, Zechariah. God has heard your prayer. Your wife, Elizabeth, will give you a son, and you are to name him John.

Zechariah asked the angel, “How can I be sure this will happen? I’m an old man now, and my wife is also well along in years.”

Then the angel said, “I am Gabriel. I stand in the very presence of God. It was he who sent me to bring you this good news. But now, since you didn’t believe what I said, in other words you were praying but not believing that what you were asking God to do, that he would do it.

Gabriel said, “You shall be dumb for a season until the child is born. God shut his mouth so he could not spoil the process in which God was trying to bless him.

My point to all who are reading this article that you learn to agree with whatever God is saying to you, whether or not you understand how he can do it.

Learn to say as Mary the mother of Jesus said, “be it unto me according to your word.”

This is the same as saying, Amen.
