Great Outdoors Challenge

Heston Lovett said he wanted to win and with the great outdoors beckoning, he did just that at the Great Outdoor Challenge June 22 in Seguin.

Lovett and partner Zoe Conde took first in the In the Junior Co-Ed Division.

The three-day event included shooting .22 rifles, shotguns and bows as well as kayaking, climbing and biking as well as knowledge of outdoor safety and biologist skills.

Anauli Reyes and Joe Reyes took third place in the Intermediate Co-Ed division and Justice Epley and Aiden McClelland took third in the Junior Boys Division. Antonio Gloria and Hayes Sullivan took fourth in the Junior Boys division and Canion Epley and Bryant Bordovsky placed 10th in the Senior Boys Division.

“I am so proud of them,” said Geri L. Kline, Calhoun County Extension Agent for Ag and Natural Resources. “They all did an amazing job.”
