The Texas Rangers, along with several local law enforcement agencies concluded their work at the excavation site in Port O’Connor.

According to Calhoun County Chief Deputy Johnny Krause, the investigation is ongoing, and the Texas Rangers could revisit the scene at Liberty Arms RV & Boat Storage in Port O’Connor.

Law enforcement began excavating the foundation around and in unit 33 of the storage facility on Monday and concluded today around noon.

The owner of the property is not a person of interest and is cooperating with law enforcement 100 percent, Krause said.

There was speculation that the dig and investigation were linked to Suzie Escobedo, who has been missing since August 2018; however, Krause was not able to confirm this speculation.
