Two people were sent to Memorial Medical Center for minor injuries resulting from a two-vehicle crash which occurred at the intersection of Virginia and TX-35.
A 1999 brown Toyota Camry driven by 24-year-old Sarrandon Schneider, of Port Lavaca, was traveling southbound on the crossover on Virginia and 35 and collided with a red 2017 GMC Acadia traveling northeast on 35 driven by 76-year-old Grace Rabe, of Point Comfort.
Schneider was transported by Calhoun County EMS to MMC for minor injuries, Port Lavaca Police Lieutenant Eric Salles said. He added that Rabe was also sent to MMC for minor injuries but was transported by a personal driver. According to Salles, no citations were issued because both drivers were “uncertain of what happened” in the accident or who was at fault.

Four people were transported to two separate hospitals Friday around noon after a wreck at the intersection on Texas 185 and Farm Market 1289.
A 1997 Ford pickup truck traveling north on Texas 185 driven by Donald Jeffery Simpson, 53, of Killeen, was struck by a 2014 white Ford Fusion driving west on FM 1289 after 55-year-old, Jennifer Lewis, of Port O’Connor failed to yield the right of way, according to Sergeant Reuben San Miguel, of Texas Department of Public Safety.
The pickup skidded to the left trying to avoid the Fusion, San Miguel said, and he added the Fusion spun around to left facing north after getting hit.
Each vehicle had one passenger, according to San Miguel. The Ford pickup’s passenger was 43-year-old, Christie Ann Duncan, of Killeen, and the Fusion’s passenger was 55-year-old, Gary Don Lewis, of Port O’Connor.
San Miguel said Simpson and Duncan were transported to Citizens Medical Center for minor injuries, and Jennifer and Gary Lewis were transported to Memorial Medical Center in Port Lavaca for minor injuries.
San Miguel said citations for failure to yield the right of way are pending for the driver of the white Ford Fusion.
