Armando (Mando) Del Toro

Armando (Mando) Del Toro, 63, of Port Lavaca, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018. He was born Jan. 14, 1955 in Corpus Christi to the late Abraham Del Toro Sr. and Santos Flores Del Toro. He served his country honorably in the United States Army.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dolores Calzada Del Toro, of Port Lavaca; daughter; Jessica Perez (Juan), of Port Lavaca; sons; Armando Del Toro Jr. (Veronica), Mark Del Toro and Andrew Del Toro, all of Corpus Christi; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister; Gloria Alvarez, of Corpus Christi; brothers; Abraham Del Toro Jr. of Corpus Christi, and Alfred Del Toro (Becky), of Washington.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Martha Bernal and Maria Ramirez.

Visitation will begin from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. at Angel Lucy’s Funeral Home in Port Lavaca. Visitation will resume at noon followed by a funeral Mass celebrated at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Port Lavaca. Burial will follow at Port Lavaca Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Arturo Perez, Ernest Garcia, Ismael Garcia, Andres Garza, Ismael Garcia Jr., and Robert Ochoa. Honorary Pallbearers are Robert Morin, Samuel Austin, Lupe Trevino, Mark Hood and Juan Perez Jr.
