Arthur G. Parker passed from this earth surrounded by his family July 2, 2019.

Arthur came to Port Lavaca in the early 1950’s. After marrying Beverly Jo, he went to work for her stepfather, Charlie Decker, as an apprentice electrician and later became a licensed electrician. He wired many new houses in Port Lavaca and Victoria while employed by Decker Electric and Patterson Electric. He started working for Alcoa in the 1960’s, retiring after 25 years.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly of the home, and sons, Charles (Rebecca “Becky”) and James (Dorothy).

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Buddy; sisters, Mamie and Elizabeth; and son, Arthur Gene.

Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2019 at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 6, at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home. Burial followed at Greenlawn Gardens.
