Jeanine Payne King, 82, of Robstown, received her heavenly angel wings Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2020 at her home. She was born Feb. 9, 1938 in Palacios to Lloyd (Cotton) and Bonnie Payne.

Jeanine married her best friend and soulmate, Emmet King (EF) in 1954 and together they had four sons: Emmet Jr, (TC), William ‘Bubba”, Grady (Sherry), Wesley; and daughter, Crystal (Linda).

Jeanine was a full-time homemaker who leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren whom she loved and adored.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ruthelle Chaka; nephew, Marvin Chaka; and grandson, Jody King.

Jeanine would have fed and given a home to every homeless cat had she gotten the opportunity.

Funeral services for Jeanine were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12, at Sawyer-George Funeral Home, located at 12496 Leopard St. in Corpus Christi.
