Jerry Don Thompson, 75, of Seadrift, passed away May 8, 2023. He was born Dec. 27, 1947 in Gilmer to Melvin Cleo and Thelma Lucille Thompson.
Jerry worked at Brown and Root and then as an outside machinist for Formosa. He was a member of the Texas Marble Collector Club and was an antique salesman.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sue Thompson; daughter, Lesle Cunningham; son, Paul Thompson; grandchildren: Hannah Bowman, Cassandra “Maggie” Ward, Wyatt Bowman, Darrah Thompson, Jillian Harris and Angeni Kemp; and great-grandchildren: Ryder Rangel, Dallas Barrett, Jameson Barrett, Jerry Ward, Pele Ward, Dominic Rendon, Nicholas Rendon and Dalyssa Rendon.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Linda Brasseaux and Betty Lively; and brother, Floyd Thompson.
A celebration of Jerry’s life will be Saturday, May 27, beginning with a visitation from 1-2 p.m. followed by services at 2 p.m. at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home.
