Lottie Tumlinson Hranicky, 84, of Port Lavaca, passed away Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022 in Port Lavaca. She was born March 9, 1937 in Eagle Pass to the late Jasper Pete and Ruth Huffman Tumlinson.
She had a master’s degree in education and was a teacher at Jackson-Roosevelt Elementary School for many years. Lottie was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, United Methodist Women, various bridge clubs and First United Methodist Church of Port Lavaca.
She is survived by daughter, Lorrie (Eric) Smith; son; Joseph E. (Brandee) Hranicky Jr,; sister; Wanda (Donnie) Davenport; brothers; Bob (Von Dena) Tumlinson and Jody “Buzz” (Shirley) Tumlinson; grandchildren: Melanie Smith, Justin Smith, Kyle (Kaitlynn) Hranicky, Shyanne (Raeley) DeBord, Kynli Hranicky (Parker Goebel), Darian (Beau) Harger, and Gabe Hranicky; and great-grandchildren: Justin Harger, Daegyn DeBord, Brakkyn DeBord and Kelbi Goebel.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Joseph E. Hranicky Sr.; sisters, Emma Lee “Slaughter” Tumlinson, and Ella Ruth Walthal; and brother; Richard “Sonny” Tumlinson.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, immediately followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Smith, Gabe Hranicky, Kyle Hranicky, Beau Harger, Parker Goebel, Raeley DeBord and Nick Brugger. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Hranicky, Dean Davenport, Tommy Tumlinson, Scott Turner, Jim Tumlinson, Darrell Smolik, Benjamin Hranicky and Edward Hranicky.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to First United Methodist Church of Port Lavaca, 814 N. San Antonio Street, Port Lavaca, Texas 77979.
