Mary P. Estes

Mary P. Estes, 77, of Port O’Connor, passed away Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020. She was born April 13, 1942 in San Antonio, to the late Lawrence John Phillips and Lula Stevens Phillips.

She worked in nursing for many years at Port Lavaca Nursing and Rehab.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Shirley (Norman) Cosden and Donna Lynn McIntyre; and son, Calvin (Deborah) McIntyre. In addition, she leaves behind seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and brother, Larry Phillips, to cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Barney Estes.

Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13, at Richardson Colonial Funeral Home. A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, at Port O’Connor Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be given in her honor to the Alzheimer’s Association or to Fisherman’s Chapel in Port O’Connor.
