Robert Timothy (Tim) Peters, 60, died Sunday, May 26, 2019 while sleeping in his home in Port Lavaca. He was born May 27, 1958 in Bryan to his Robert and Dolores Peters.
He married Roxanne Sikes August 13, 1983. The Peters’ family resided in Pleasanton where Roxanne raised three children and Tim worked in the concrete and asphalt business in the San Antonio area. In 2015, Roxanne was killed in a car accident and Tim moved to Port Lavaca to be surrounded by family and friends.
Tim was a great man and loved his family more than anything. He always seemed to be in a good mood and never met a stranger no matter where he went. He was a hard working husband and father who loved the outdoors. Hunting and fishing with his family were some of his favorite hobbies.
He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, August and Michelle Peters; son and daughter-in-law, Lucas and Lisa Peters; daughter, Alýce Peters; mother, Dolores Peters; brothers, Jon and David Peters; sisters: Michelle, Melissa, Kimberly and Jocelyn; and grandchildren, Wade and Nash Peters.
He was preceded in death by his wife and father.
A memorial was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 2, at First United Methodist Church in Port Lavaca. A reception followed.
