Tom Andrews passed away Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2019 from complications with pneumonia. He was 67 years young. Born Dec. 10, 1951 in Pasadena, California, the son of Franklin and Dellelis Andrews and big brother to Anne, Patty, Kevin, Bobby and Larry.
Tom lived at Magnolia beach for nearly 30 years. It was his passion for the outdoors and wildlife that brought him to Calhoun County and his cherished friendships with his neighbors, friends and community that kept him there. He loved Calhoun County. He was president of the Magnolia Beach Volunteer Fire department for nearly 10 years where he and many others gave their time to help save the lives of others in their community. He also severed on the parks board and the water board, giving his time to make his community better and safer place.
The family would like to thank Citizens Memorial Hospital in Victoria, it’s doctors, nurses and administration that helped Tom and treated with great care and like a family member.
A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at New Beginnings Church, located at 301 Alcoa Dr. in Port Lavaca. Friends and family are invited continue the celebration with food and beverages being served at the Magnolia Beach Fire Barn. His ashes will be spread at approximately 2:30 p.m. on his beloved Magnolia beach by the “monument” public pier.
