Calhoun County ISD newly elected board member Tyler McAfee was sworn in Monday, May 19, by Joan McAfee, superintendent’s secretary, during the CCISD board meeting. McAfee along with Dana Dworaczyk were elected in the May 3 Municipal Election. Dworaczyk, who was elected to the at-large seat, was not sworn in at the meeting because she is still under contract as a district employee, according to board president Bill Shrader. Her contract expires June 30 and “she will be sworn in at the July meeting,” explained Shrader.
