Guadalupe (Lupita) M. Pesek

Guadalupe (Lupita) M. Pesek, a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother, went to be with the Lord on May 2, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer. Guadalupe was born on August 29, 1949, in Port Lavaca, Texas, to Fortunato Minjares, Sr. and Julia Calzada Minjares who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brother Fortunato "Joe" Minjares, Jr.Lupita found immense joy in spending time with her loved ones and being a volunteer at Memorial Medical Center for 10 years.She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.Leaving to cherish her memory, is her husband Robert "Bob" Pesek of 32 years, sons Reynaldo (Joanna) De La Garza, Jr. of Port Lavaca, Texas, Joel (Laura) De La Garza of Port Lavaca, Texas, Jeremy (Jessica) Pesek of Inez, Texas, Jonathan (Ashley) Pesek of Newport News, Virginia; daughter Julie De La Garza of Victoria, Texas; two sisters, Gloria Fritsch of Port Lavaca, Texas, and Minerva (Wally) Garza of Harlingen, Texas; 8 grandchildren; 5 great–grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
