Leslie Arthur Pfeil was born in San Antonio, TX on July 5, 1931 to the late Arthur Herbert Pfeil and Lilly Gerdes Pfeil of Fashing, TX. He graduated high school from Karnes City High School in 1948, at the age of 16. He married Annette Fink in 1951 at the Monthalia Methodist Church in Cost, TX before he was shipped out to Korea where he served as a radio telegrapher in the Air Force.

He left college to join the Air Force in 1951 and served 4 years. He was honorably discharged in 1955 and went back to college to get his degree. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree from South Texas Teachers College in San Marcos, TX in 1955. He taught school in Karnes City High School for 1 year. He then moved to Port Lavaca to work at ALCOA in 1956. He was a manager for the store room in charge of purchasing and dispersing inventory. He spent some of his retirement building homes for his children and also was a contractor for some of his neighbors who were also building homes. He was always ready to help his neighbors with anything they needed. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather and will be missed by all. He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Annette Pfeil, 2 daughters, Cheryl Denise Foster and Nancy Walraven (Harold), and son, David Pfeil (Barbara); grandchildren, Jennifer Johnson (Jeff), Sarah Spencer (Robert), Cody Walraven (Risa), Amanda Moore (John), Kara McGuire (Jonathan) and Jacob Pfeil; and great-grandchildren, Jackson Nunley, Mason Taylor, Kolton Taylor, Clayton Spencer, Nicholas Spencer, Addison Walraven, Blake Walraven, Claire Moore, Garrett Johnson and Jessa Johnson.

A special thank you to his caregivers for all the love and support they gave him.

Honoring him by serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons, grandsons in law, great grandsons, Philip Wehmeyer and Rudy Resendez. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at 1PM at Richardson Colonial Funeral Home, with funeral services following at 2PM.
