New principal hired to helm Hope/Flex High School

Retired Hope High School Principal Dwana Finster informed the Calhoun County ISD Board of Trustees of two awards the school had received from the Texas Association of Alternative Education during its Monday, June 16, meeting. The high school received the Best Practices Award for its innovative processes and results. Nathan Almanzar, a Formosa Plastics employee, received the organization’s Friend of Alternative Education for his mentorship at HHS.
