Kenyon Ray Hamilton

Kenyon Ray Hamilton went to be with the Lord on June 22, 2024. He was born Aug 25, 1947, in Rockland, TX to the late Jesse and Lucille (Higginbotham) Hamilton.

Kenyon married Nellie Lou (Butler) Hamilton on Jan 20, 1970. He attended Southwestern Assembly of God College. He was an Engineer on the Railroad for 10 years. Kenyon was ordained and became Assembly of God Minister from 1982 - 2024, Pastor, and multiple entrepreneurial ventures.

Kenyon proudly served in the US Army. He was a Specialist Fourth Class Medic; 101st Airborne, Screaming Eagles; 1968-1970; Vietnam War; Bronze Commendation Medal, Air Medal, National Defense Service Medal Ribbon, Army Combat Medical Badge First Award, and was recommended for a Purple Heart.

Surviving family members are wife of 54 years, Nellie (Butler) Hamilton; daughters, Lunell (Hamilton) Martin and husband, Steve Martin, Michell (Hamilton) Pilzner and husband, Russell Pilzner; grandchildren, Steven Martin II, Destrea (Martin) Havlik and husband, Sheldon, Daniyyel (Martin) Macy, Jackalyn (Brumfield) Brennan and husband, Zachary, Deven Martin, Russell Cade Pilzner; great grandchildren, Emriel Havlik, Noel Havlik, Suzanna Macy; siblings, Rodger Hamilton and wife, Linda, Susan McElveen and husband, Tommy, Darwin Hamilton and wife, Olga.

Kenyon was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Lucille (Higginbotham) Hamilton; siblings, Jessie Jones and Rachel Delgado; granddaughter, McKenzie Pilzner.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024, 3:00 pm at New Beginnings Church 301 Alcoa Dr. Port Lavaca, TX 77978.
