Ronald Ted Ripple Ronald Ted Ripple

Ron Ripple, a devoted family man, passed away peacefully leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He had a passion for playing washers and singing karaoke, especially to the tunes of Jimmy Buffet, Jerry Jeff Walker, and Willie Nelson. Known for his cooking skills, Ron loved grilling and was famous for his chili. Ron won numerous cook-offs, including qualifying for the prestigious Houston Go Texan Cook Off.

A dedicated member of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church and President of the Chamber of Commerce in 1982, Ron’s commitment to his community and his church was unwavering. He joyfully volunteered his cooking talents for church festivals, fishing tournament benefits, golf tournaments, and countless family events. Ron also started the Heritage Food Fair and Seafest events, showcasing his love for serving those around him.

One of Ron’s favorite pastimes was being around the water. He loved fishing off the boat or pier with his kids and grandkids, floating in the pool with his purple and blue float, and spending time with extended family every summer at the Frio River.

Ron loved his family above all else. Having his home filled with the love and laughter of his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids made him smile every time they gathered together. He taught every grandkid how to play washers (though few could ever beat him), the key verse to Margaritaville (it’s all Carol’s fault), and how to catch big fish (or at least just enjoy being on the water). Ron accomplished many things in his life but the family legacy he created was by far his favorite.

Professionally, Ron was the VP of Sales and Marketing at Klean Corp International. Prior to this, he was the manager of Beall’s Department Stores in Port Lavaca and Victoria.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Marie Ripple; his sister, Lammone Leuschner; and sister-in-law, Andrea Ripple. He is survived by his siblings, Jeff Ripple and Carlotta Sprencel (Ted).

Ron leaves behind his loving wife of 62 years, Carol Ripple. He was a devoted father to three children: Tami Burdge and her husband Robby, along with their two children Casey Burdge Staudt (Caleb) and Conner Burdge; Tim Ripple and his wife Becky, with their three children Austin Ripple (Candice), Justin Ripple (Blair), and Kaitlin Ripple; and Tiffany O’Donnell and her husband Stacy, with their three children Bryce O’Donnell (Reagan), Elle Baker (Gavin), and Emme O’Donnell.

His great-grandchildren, Parker Staudt, Levi Staudt, Jett Ripple, and Willow Barrett, were his pride and joy, bringing immense happiness to his life. Ron Ripple’s legacy of love to Jesus Christ, his family, friends and his community service, will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.

Pallbearers include: Conner Burdge, Austin Ripple, Justin Ripple, Bryce O’Donnell, Larry Hensley, and Mark Saddler
